Back to the Basics

This season I've been all about getting back to the basics by adding new neutrals to my wardrobe. Looking through my closet you'll find the sequin dresses, the collection of blazers and statement blouses, but until recently it was severely lacking in simple, solid tones. I've had my eye out for pieces that can easily withstand the test of time and be mixed into a variety of outfits. Who knew finding the perfect, slouchy white t-shirt would be so difficult (all recommendations welcome!)? These are the images that have me inspired to make the basics a primary part of my wardrobe...

  4. J. Crew has the best plain v-neck short sleeve white tee that I've found-it's on the site called vintage cotton v-neck tee. It has the best slouchy fit and is easy to layer with a statement necklace and cardigan. I love the blouse in that second pic, I want that!

  17. I agree about the white-T, if you find it, post about it!!! I'm all about neutrals, but I always feel so boring; thanks for posting some neutral inspiration! LOVE the skirt in #4, and i am dying to try the tights and shorts deal, but I'm not quite bold enough.
