homemade granola bars

Since I'm constantly on the go I try to have snacks with me for a burst of energy to keep me fueled throughout the day. Usually you can find me with either larabars or KIND bars, but if I have time I love making my own granola bars. They're easy to throw together, don't require too much time and are often healthier than the store bought ones. Following with the festive season I went with this recipe for Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Granola Bars. I love that the recipe uses applesauce and honey as natural sweeteners instead of adding additional cups of regular sugar. They're the perfect on the go snack and a great way to use any leftover pumpkin puree that you may have.

  1. This is perfect. I've been on the hunt for a good homemade granola bar recipe. I've also been meaning to make pumpkin choc chip cookies. Looks like I will do this instead.

  16. I'm not a huge breakfast person, but am trying to change that and ensure I at least eat something small before or while leaving the house. This recipe looks like the perfect fall solution for me! Thanks for sharing! xo
