Returning from a place as wonderful and amazing as California always makes the work days right after a little bit harder. I'm wishing I could click my red heels and appear back in the vineyards with a big glass of wine in my hand.
We touched down in San Francisco around lunch time on Tuesday and lucked out with warm weather and bright skies, perfect for walking around the city. First stop was lunch at In-N-Out, naturally. Someone please explain to me why these haven't been opened on the East coast yet? If you're looking for some printed pants to try, I can't get enough of these.
The Fairmont Hotel is insanely beautiful and offers views of the city that can't be beat. A few favorites of ours from the quick day and a half that we were there...
to stay:
the fairmont hotel
to eat:
mamacita's (some of the best mexican I've had)
fog harbor fish house (touristy maybe, but food was delicious)
to do:
alcatraz tour
drinks at top of the mark
take a cable car ride
walk down lombard street
visit golden gate park
shopping at union square
tomorrow- Napa!
